Well, I prefer a wireless controller than a cable one. Too bad iShoes still uses a cable controller. With 15MPH top speed, only 16lbs total weight and Nano tech batteries that can deliver 5-7 mile range, iShoes is really an awesome toy, but only if it has a wireless controller. The idea of wearing a motorized roller skate with a cable dangling on my side is, err, a bit worrying for me. I might need my right hand to balance my body, holding a cable would limit its range of motion.

Yes, this is a toy, but it’s also can be useful as proximity alarm with active intruder warning system. “Active” here meaning it doesn’t just scare intruder away with sound or light but also discourage the intruder with a physical contact, by launching a pair of ICBM (Inter Cubicle Ballistic Missile.) No worries, it contains no radioactive material, in fact the missile is created from soft harmless materials.
